Welcome to Travel Adventure Cinema in its new 21st Century garb as we switch from the printed page to the electronic e-zine format.

Travel Adventure Cinema’s origins go back to 1934 and Program Magazine that first chronicled the field until it was taken over by our publication—then called The Performer—in 1982.

While our roots are planted in the era of Program and the storied travel filmmakers of that long-gone era—spotlighted by the pioneering Burton Holmes and Thayer Soule—our vision is now on tomorrow’s horizon and opportunities awaiting. (See our story on Al Nader and his forthcoming TravelVisits.com Web site.)

Our goal will be to continue reporting on the travel documetary field, its cinematographers and presenters who showcase their films in colleges, universities, performing arts centers, museums, and travel and service clubs across North America.

We will also be watchful for new technical developments and techniques that could help or affect our market.
