Showcase chair, Robin D. Williams, Laguna Beach, California filmmaker, welcomed producers and the bookers who came from across North America to sign new shows for their respective venues — colleges, universities, museums and clubs.

Another California filmmaker, Stan Walsh kicked off the Festival with a short documentary — Travelogue Legacy–Chapter One — on the venerable travel film that traces its beginnings to 19th Century stereopticon slide shows.
