I think it's great that some travel film producers are starting to shoot in HD. However, what is the plan, exactly, for showing these creations to live audiences. True HD has 1080 vertical lines (or vertical pixels) but do they make high intensity projector with long throw lenses that put out at 1080? Also, even if the resolution is reduced for projection purposes (which is probably OK) to what extent do local sponsors need to go out and obtain new screens? I'm concerned that just reducing the vertical dimension (by going "letterbox" on existing screen) will seem more like taking something away from local audience that like giving them more.
