Shipwrecked on a Great Lake

In 1843,Canadian seaman Ned Myers told the story of his life to the famous American writer James Fenimore Cooper. In Cooper's book, Meyers told the story of the 1813 US amphibious attack on Toronto, and the subsequent sinking of the ship he sailed on during the attack. The bones of the many other sailors who sank with the ship sat untouched on the bottom on Lake Ontario for 167 years. Now, 201 years after the sinking, Shipwrecked on a Great Lake tells the story of the attack.   Read More
