We were driving south on our way to  Agadir, shooting a film on Morocco , when Jackie Gillette said, “I saw something weird in the tree back there. Looked like a  huge bushy bird.”

I hit the brakes. I was pretty sure I knew what she had seen and we had to film it.

This area of Morocco, south of Casablanca along the Atlantic Coast, is well-known for its tree-climbing goats.  Yeah, goats. There are a lot of them. I’d seen them earlier when I was here on a fellowship.

The goats are eating a certain kind of berry, and…You’ll see why. Catch the video:
