Flavorwire, a pop culture site that features films, TV, art, books and music, is displaying a video clip advertised as 135 Shots that Will Restore Your Faith in Films.

 

Filmmakers who once actually used film will enjoy the opening scenes showing a cinematographer with his vintage camera followed by a techie threading up an old film projector—supposedly for the upcoming 8-minute mélange of memorable clips.

 

The next challenge is to see how many clips you are able to identify—and from which film. You might even run it twice or thrice, as I did.

 

Besides the good clip selection, edited by Jason Bailey, the music by Clint Mansell, is bang-on all the way through.
