Dabbawallahs

What started out as a documentary turned into a feature, an unusual feature film. Each day in Mumbai, India 4000 men in dressed in white transport 175,000 lunches across this big city. They retrieve the lunch containers of food from mothers and wives and delivery them to husbands and family members. The Dabba Wallas have been doing this since the late 1800s.   Read More

China Rising

As youngsters we heard, "If you drill straight down through the Earth you would come out in China." That comprised just about the sum total of our knowledge of China. Perhaps the improvement in knowledge since then has been slight.   Read More
