Mysterious Skywriter

It was in July 1973 on a bright sunny afternoon in Southern California when Stan Walsh, a budding filmmaker, US Air Force veteran and still an avid aviation enthusiast, heard the sound of an aircraft. He stepped out on his back porch to see a lone plane “maneuvering high in the sky.” He takes up the story, writing in the influential Sport Aviation magazine:

"White letters were evolving. I discerned letters already formed...’So Long’…then came ‘Eddie.’ This was no ordinary message.

Stan Walsh Suggests Relaxing TRACS Showcase Rules

Stan Walsh, the TRACS Filmmakers Chairman,on his way to Italy, sent me this message:

While on location in Italy—filming Venice and the Italian Lakes—I expect I will miss a TRACS Board conference call or two. I have suggested to Steve McCurdy that he assume the Filmmaker's Chairmanship from here on out.

I will, of course, assist him and participate in the convention.  I agree that we should invite Program Directors or other programming folks throughout the Midwest to attend the Chicago gathering free of any charge.

In that regard wouldn't it be nice if the MCA (museum) folks would help us put our best foot forward by joining us in holding a "travel film festival" in their large auditorium without additional charge to us.

We are told performing arts folks are shopping for bargain "acts.” This is a window of opportunity for us to "sell ourselves" as quality events priced to meet their budget requirements. We can only do this if our Chicago venue is quality.

I also suggest, that our showcase footage rule should be relaxed to allow either a continuous length from the program or an edited "trailer" which would display samples of the entire program content.

Meanwhile, time out from filming my newest—Venice and the Italian Lake—while I have a dish of delicious gelato.

John Craig wrote a letter to his old friend, co-adventurer Lowell Thomas, extending honorary membership in our filmmakers’ organization, then known as Impala—for the International Motion Picture and Lecturers Association, Zoloft For Sale. Young Filmmakers Already

In the House of Tomorrow

Some of us weren’t expecting too much from the young high school filmmakers who, buying Zoloft online over the counter, dropped into Laguna Woods, Zoloft steet value, CA, to show their latest efforts. Were we surprised.

Barbara Hillis’ comment on wives at the projector (see story above) reminds me that much too often we fail to acknowledge how important these hard-working, talented, wonderful mates contribute to the overall production and presentation of our films, Zoloft from canada. When they are not there beside us on the road…it’s not the same. Everyone attending the World on Film series in Laguna Woods looks forward to the next show to find out what Presenter Karen Shareff will be wearing when she introduces the film artist.

To introduce Rick Ray when he recently dropped by with his fine Morocco film, Karen came onstage wearing a caftan and head adornment—right out of 1001 Nights.

The audience loved it—as they did their visit to the Casablanca, Marrakech, Zoloft reviews, Fez and the Sahara.

Stan Walsh Heading for Italy

Filmmaker Stan Walsh is heading for Northern Italy this summer to capture additional footage for his Italian Lakes Adventure film that will also include a bit of Venice. Effects of Zoloft, He returns mid-July.

As a backup, Stan is taking a small high def—1080i—camcorder, the Sony HDR-HC7 with a CMOS sensor and Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonar lens. The camera belongs to son Captain Peter Walsh of Tacoma, who is a good shooter in his own right—when he’s not at sea on charter cruises. Stan says he’s not switching to HD production, however. Not yet.

His first film on that beautiful country was called Tuscany—Italy’s Golden Province. It played well in such places as the Town Hall in Manhattan, the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Philadelphia Geographic.

Despite all that he didn’t give up his day job. That would come later. Then he was too busy helping build Dulles International Airport.
