Mix a true spy story with the history of a Bavarian village made famous by a legendary folk-drama and you have the scenario for a modern road-show.  Bob Hope and Bing Crosby would envy the trip.

Spice this script with a gaggle of young people carrying iPods and cell phones, add a dash of seniors sporting digital Kodaks, place them on a palatial bus and  "off we go" on a delightful pilgrimage proving, once again, that  "getting there is half the fun."

Our adventure begins in Rome—the Vatican, the Coliseum, the fountains, a gelato treat, then on to Assisi.  Florence is next.  The bells of Santa Croce, the Golden Doors and Michelangelo’s David in the Academy of Fine Arts.  Later, we pause in Pisa to look at the tower which started leaning in 1350. Fran and Brooke Reidelberger tell us their new travel film, Colorful Mexico, is finished and will join the TAC circuit in September.

Colorful. You bet. Included in the film are golden beaches, silver cities and the Copper Canyon.

Their first show—in their own backyard—is at Roscommon, MI., Sept. 16.

Photo below shows a former 16^th century convent that is now the Rafael Coronel Art Museum in the grand old “silver city” of Zacatecas.
