We flew the cheapest we could —Southwest. I had stripped and gotten through security, which is no longer a problem. However, trying to prop myself up against a wall and get my shoes on and tied is still a problem.

The Travel Adventure Film field took several bold steps at its annual Showcase in Chicago to significantly improve its century-old art form that has been shaky in recent years caused by the disappearance of venues and members.

Sony has come up with another new High Def camcorder that should be a hit with the prosumer crowd. It has the regular whistles and bells—with an added sparkling fillip or two.

Our Travel Films in 3-D?
Hollywood will have 40 features in 3-D in the works over the next three years, including James Cameron’s anticipated sci-fi adventure Avatar—coming in December. Couldn’t 3-D Travel Films give a great boost to our own industry?
